  HUNTS & SHOOTS...

Prospect Hall is a private hunting and shooting Club organized to promote and provide quality hunting and shooting experiences for its members.

  UPLAND STYLE HUNTS...

Prospect Hall specializes in upland style bird hunts September 1 through April 30. These hunts are guided, permitting us to cater to the inexperienced, as well as the experienced hunter. Our intensely managed game habitat is made up of various covers such as grain fields, grasses, thickets, fence rows and forested ravines. Our kennel includes setters, Brittanys, short hairs, Labradors and English cocker flushing dogs. These healthy and highly trained dogs guarantee both an enjoyable and interesting hunting experience. Members with their own dogs are permitted to bring them or to use the Club's. We stock only the highest quality quail, pheasant, ducks and the exotic chukar and Hungarian partridge. This provides large numbers of hard flying game birds for the hunting enjoyment of our members and their guests. Our early season dove shoots are also an experience to remember. A hunting license is required and can be purchased from our office. Complete bird dressing and packaging is provided.

  THE CLIFFSIDE...

Prospect Hall sports a unique release duck and pheasant shoot. Two to ten hunters are placed on stand stands along Opequon Creek, which runs through the Club property. Birds are released from acliff overlooking the creek creating high, fast challenging shots. Missed ducks frequently provide a second bag opportunity as they circle back across the creek.

  THE CONTINENTAL...

Another release bird shoot is offered to members and their guests places twelve to twenty-four hunters in blinds in a large circle around a hill. From the top of the hill pheasant, ducks, chukar, Huns and quail are released. Many of the birds will circle over the blinds and provide action for more than one blind. Following the release of several clutches of birds the hunters are rotated around the circle of blinds. The shot variety afforded in this event is infinite.

  CLAY TARGET SHOOTING...

The popularity of sporting clays in the United States has grown enormously in recent years. It provides fun and competition to any level of shooter. Sporting clays lets one experience simulated hunting shots like pheasant, quail, grouse, duck and rabbit. The course is made up of 24 stations and is majestically laid out in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. One can walk or ride a cart around the course. The course is considered challenging and undergoes regular changes by staff so as to maintain that challenge. Sporting clays is a great way to spend quality time with friends, family and business associates. We also have a "Crazy Quail" clay target game that has consistently challenged some of the sport's best shooters, together with the traditional skeet and trap fields. Several times each year the Club arranges for various nationally and internationally famous shooting instructors to conduct shooting clinics and provide instruction to the members and their guests.

  OTHER ACTIVITIES...

Aside from the shooting sports, Prospect Hall is a great place for camping, picnicking, hiking, canoeing and fishing. There are any number of private camping and picnic sites along Opequon Creek. We have several miles of groomed trails through hardwood forest for those who enjoy hiking. Opequon Creek is ideal for a canoe and sustains populations of small mouth bass and several varieties of pan fish. We also have three ponds that provide a natural setting for a relaxing day of fishing. In short, Prospect Hall is a full family facility. We are also dedicated to sustaining a membership level that is designed to avoid overcrowding and undue difficulty in booking activities. We strive to make one's experience comfortably convenient and every members home away from home. The Club is open all year, seven days each week and a light is always on in the window.
